BID PACKAGE Description

Utility work includes the installation of water mains, sewers, and ducts and their associated appurtenances within the right-of-way (ROW) and other areas of the site identified in the contract documents. The retaining wall work consists of the installation of cast-in-place concrete wall with foundation, screen wall, and repairs to existing concrete walls. Also included in this RFP is the removal and relocation of the stairs serving the Metra train station.

BID PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

Demolition work includes surface and subsurface demolition, removal, and disposal of existing features within right-of-way (ROW) limits. It also includes other areas of the site identified in the contract documents.

Earthwork includes the movement, placement, hauling, and disposal of soil material within the right-of-way (ROW) and other areas of the site identified within the contract documents.

DETAILS

Your firm is invited to submit a proposal for trade specific services required to construct the Bronzeville Lakefront Development Right-of-Way Work Project. The intent of this bid package is to competitively select the most qualified contractors submitting the most responsive and responsible bids to perform the work based on an evaluation of cost, schedule, and understanding of the project, safety record, minority business (MBE) participation, women business (WBE) participation, and the experience of your committed staff. This document along with those referenced herein outlines the scope of services and requirements.

This project will utilize the Construction Management delivery method and as such all successful bids will be awarded as Prime Contracts for their scope of work in direct contract with the Project Developer, Grit Chicago, LLC., who has hired SPACECO, Inc. as the construction manager for the project. SPACECO, Inc. will be the direct contact for the management of the construction work.
